In addition, your name and link to your Web site will be considered for inclusion into Localization section of AnyCount Web site, AnyCount Help, and documentation. Localization into rare or extinct languages for educational purposes is welcome as well
Localization process is easy: 1. It is important to understand the location, from which AnyCount loads languages: All languages, which are available in the Language menu, are automatically retrieved from Languages folder, which is installed together with AnyCount. By default, it is located at C:\Program Files\AnyCount 6.0\Languages.
2. You can copy English.txt file into some other file with the name of language you would like to localize AnyCount into, e.g. Polish.txt (you may also select other than English source language as a starting point of your localization process). One of the ways to do this is by selecting English.txt, pressing Ctrl-C, then pressing Ctrl-V, and then renaming Copy of English.txt file into Polish.txt). Please, note that with most settings, .txt extension will not be displayed - no need to worry about that, just omit it.
3. So that Polish language name displays correctly, open Polish.txt file in Notepad or other text editor and change the value of Language item:
… into Polski - name of the Polish language on Polish)
If you restart the program after this step, you will see the result:
4. Now you can start localizing the text itself represented by numeric values (by overtyping English text with Polish): Add Files being selected:
localization is in progress:
That’s all! After you restart AnyCount you will be able to see the strings you have localized appear ‘live’.
