Right after starting, AnyCount displays Files window, where you can select files or folders for counting.

Use Add and Remove buttons (in the left part of the Files window) to select files or folders you want to be counted.

Clear button removes all previously selected files.

Add button of the Files window opens Add Files dialog box where you can select files or folders to be counted.

_bm296 Note: if you want only compatible to AnyCount files (i.e. files, that can be counted with AnyCount) to be displayed, choose Compatible Only option in the upper right part of Add Files dialog box.

_bm296 Note: if you want to select files when Settings or Count Results page are opened, just click Files button in the bottom part to switch to Files page:

You can add files with supported extensions (.RTF, .DOC, .WPD, .XLS, .PPT, .PPS, .PDF, .CSV, .HTM, .HTML, .XML, .MIF, .TXT, .ZIP, .ODT, .SDW, .SXW, .ODS, .SDC, .SXC, .ODP, .SDD, .SXI, .HLP, .CHM) by clicking Add button. AnyCount automatically sorts them into pages with icons according to their file type. If you add a folder, files from this folder are sorted as well.

After you have finished selecting the files, you can click Settings button to view/adjust counting settings or use the drop-down list in the right bottom part of the window change units. If you are ok with counting settings you have set before, click Count! button to get the count results.
