BMP (Bitmap Image File) is an uncompressed image, formed by a number of pixels. BMP file stores information on each of its pixels, which means that image  in BMP format will usually be larger than the same image saved in different format. Originally indigenous to Windows platform, BMP files are recognized by most graphic editors.

AnyCount can count image files due to built-in Optical Character Recognition (OCR) module. Image files which contain image data are converted to text data when performing recognizing process. Before counting image files, ensure that you select target language for recognition with the help of Recognition Language drop-down list.
