HTML is a "Hypertext Mark-up Language" generally used to create web-pages, and other HTML documents. HTML files can be opened by most text editors and web browsers.

_bm23 Note: What is the difference between HTM and HTML files? There is none. HTML and HTM extensions are used to distinguish files which contain HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) code. Generally, the use of HTM over HTML, or vice versa, is left to the author's personal preferences.

AnyCount can optionally include separate count for meta description, meta keywords, alt texts, and form controls when counting HTML and HTM files.
