PPT is the default file extension for saving presentations in PowerPoint 2003 and earlier versions.

 

_bm23 Note: What is the difference between PPT and PPS files?

Double-clicking PPT file will open this file in PowerPoint.
Double-clicking PPS file will run presentation ("play-presentation" mode).
There are no other differenced between these file types. PPT extension can manually be changed to PPS extension and vice-versa.

_bm23 Note: In order to obtain counts for PPT files you need to have Microsoft Office Power Point installed on your computer
