- Word counts, character counts, and line counts
in Running Headers contents
- Word counts, character counts, and line counts
in Running Footers contents
- Word counts, character counts, and line counts
in End Notes

RTF files are:
- more compatible than .DOC files, can be opened
by virtually all versions of Microsoft® Word;
- cross-platform (can be opened in many applications
including Microsoft® Word both in Microsoft Windows®
for PC and Macintosh);
- virus-safe (unlike .DOC files, which can contain
Macro viruses);
- in many instances smaller than .DOC files;
- reduce the number of unnecessary information
(like model of printer you use), which MS-Word always saves
in the .DOC files
