Define What To Count Settings in AnyCount determine which objects should or should not be included in count results. These may include numbers, footers, headers, text in shapes, and so on. Select Count Units Before starting counting process, ensure that you select right count units. Word Count in .BMP files

The BMP file format, sometimes called bitmap or DIB file format (for device-independent bitmap), is an image file format used to store bitmap digital images, especially on Microsoft Windows and OS/2 operating systems.

 Many graphical user interfaces use bitmaps in their built-in graphics subsystems, for example, the Microsoft Windows and OS/2 platforms' GDI subsystem, where the specific format used is the Windows and OS/2 bitmap file format, usually named with the file extension of .BMP or .DIB.

Word Counts, Character Counts, and Line Counts in BMP Files

AnyCount can count text in image files due to built-in Optical Character Recognition (OCR) module. Image files which contain image data are converted to text data when performing recognizing process.

Before counting image files, select target language for recognition with the help of Select language for recognition drop-down list.

Word count settings in image file formats

When AnyCount completes the word count or other units count of .BMP you have a wide variety of possibilities for viewing and saving the count result:
